Why Portraits at 40+?
I turned 40 last year and decided it was time to stop hiding behind the camera. Do you hide behind or shy away from the camera?
“Not me, just the kids.” I have heard women say this over and over the last 15 years of my photography career. What will your children and grandchildren find when they look for photographs of you?
Our generation needs to be represented. We deserve to tell our stories and have a beautiful portrait of ourselves to cherish for all time.
- A magazine style photo shoot experience where you are the celebrity for the day.
- Choose 4 to 5 styled looks. Glamourous, casual, professional, boudoir, doing a sport or hobby, with a loved one...... Whatever you want!
- You get pampered by a hair and makeup artist creating the looks that you want for each look
- I walk you through the entire process. I will pose you from head to toe so you feel comfortable and fabulous in front of the camera.
Step 1:
The Consultation
This is where we design your dream photo shoot. We pick out 4 to 5 different looks and outfits. A fancy dress that you never get to wear, maybe some boudoir images, a headshot for work, a portrait with your children, whatever you want. We talk about how to prepare for the day of the shoot. Don't worry, I will help you every step of the way.
Step 2:
Hair & Makeup
On the morning of your session you will meet my fantastic hair and makeup artist.
Your hair and makeup will be styled to your liking and you will have a fabulous pampering experience with her.
Step 3:
The Shoot
After you hair and makeup is complete your photoshoot begins. I will photograph 4 to 5 styled looks. I will pose you from head to toe so that you look and feel fabulous in front of the camera. It is my job to take the most beautiful photograph that you have ever seen of yourself.
Step 4:
The Reveal
About two weeks after your session you will come back into the studio to view your images. You only purchase what you love. If you don't love any of them then you don't have to buy any of them. My goal is to photograph you in such a way that that you will love them all.
What is the Cost?
Session fee is $395
this includes:
- Hair and makeup by a professional hair and makeup artist
- 4 to 5 outfit changes and styled looks
- A reveal appointment where you will decide which images you want to order
- One 8x10 inch matted print with matching digital file
- A blog post telling your story alongside your portraits (optional)
